"The MuseON Contest has been organized by a new generation of musical producers who want to change the current situation with regards to the showbiz industry in Russia. Nowadays the Russian music industry is closed to the vast majority of talented performers and is instead controlled by those individuals who possess sufficient financial and media resources. Under these conditions the Russian musical scene is filled with low-quality manufactured music of a very narrow genre. We hope to address the limitations currently present in the Russian music industry and offer freedom of choice and accessibility through which talented musicians will be able to reach their audience.
